A research station in Darfálvággi run by Stockholm University, focusing on glacial and climatological research, featuring the world's longest measurement series of a glacier's development
(Storglaciären in this case) as well as yearly altitude measurements of the shrinking South Peak of Giebmegáisi. The station offers accommodation and sustenance for guests,
geared towards scientists and academic courses. It is electrified and is generally open and manned around the same period as STF's Tarfala cottage.
